I used to be up and and down like [insert inappropriate remark here lol] ... flicking back and forth between Grandstand and World Of Sport on Saturdays as no remote controls in those days (and we all rented our tele's too)

Well Everton won the cup few weeks after he was born in 33 so he might of jumped on the bandwagon

Dickie Davies was a bit showbizzy. He'd have been better suited introducing Shirley Bassey at the Palladium rather than, say, darts from Sheffield on Saturday afternoon.

Rip Motty - the first voice I associate with football when I was just learning and getting into the game.

His style made every game sound interesting, and his knowledge was second to none. Todays so called commentators could learn a few things.

So close to Dickie Davies passing as well - both legends.

Very sad.
