He’s definitely tightened us up and we’ll prove harder to beat , I think it was a really good performance against arsenal . Leeds , well I thought they were awful but we dug in and got there in the end . In reality the difference is probably Calvert-Lewin , I know it’s only one game but I think we’re a different team with that focal point .

Villa will be a difficult prospect as they seem to have goals in them, hopefully we’ll see more of the same .
I suspect we'll need to score two to get a result in that game.

That said, we've created decent chances in both the Dyche home games so far and more composure could have seen us run out at 2 or 3 goal winners in each match.

They didnt look like a side who had goals in them in Saturday. They carried 0 attacking threat from what I could see.

0 wins in 10, and 2 wins in 20 is a very bad record. I'm not convinced they magically win 5 from 15.
No wonder their managerial search goes on. That looks like a search for a Championship manager to me.

People like Forshaw and Dallas were key for that team to be competitive in games like Saturday and they are nowhere near exiting the treatment room.

Defensively they're a mess. They've lost too many defenders to injury too...Wober being the latest.

A S'ton team who are themselves woeful apart from Ward-Prowse will take the 3 points next weekend.

Thats what the optimistic side of my brain is telling me, the pessimistic side (which accounts for 80% when it's to do with Everton) still holds belief they have it in them to go on a run.
Beat Villa, then the shift goes closer to 40/60!!

Unfortunately that’s the way it’s going to be on the run in. I said before the Leeds game that if we failed to win we would be relegated. A win helped but we are still in dire trouble. The Villa game is another one. Fail to win and we are back down in the thick of it, but a win gives a temporary respite.

Said it before would love a win but would take a draw then have beat forest and then exoect we get beat by arsenal. Is really close but just have get any sort of points

A lot of focus is being put on our home form - and honestly that’s totally understandable.

But we shouldn’t write off away games under Dyche, either.

We don’t yet have the data to judge how they will go. Anfield is perennially a special case, and even then it could’ve been very different but for a post’s width.

I reckon we’ll get a couple of away wins.
Our away form can only get better it literally can't get any worse.

1st March and 5th March?
Forest and Brentford...

Forest is on the 5th and Brentford on the 11th.

Don't see why the Arsenal game being on the 1st (and 4 days gap is still plenty btw, it's Weds to Sunday, which should be fine) impacts our prep for Brentford.

They'll have a recovery day on the Thursday 2nd, then they'll do their full tactical, MD-2 session on Friday and a light session before travelling to Nottingham on the Saturday.

Monday they'll be recovery again, Tuesday back in, Weds likely off and then MD-2 session on the Thursday and a light session Friday pre-Brentford.

MD-2 sessions are the key. When teams can't have those it has a real impact.

Villa are our bogie team...They've got legs all over the park which really worries me.

I find this point extremely hard to believe. You are saying there were no footballers anywhere in the world who wouldn't have fancied top flight english football and 40 or 50 grand a week?

I'd say the players we wanted most weren't available, but it's not true that nobody was interested..
Yeah theres loads of Tosun, Rondons and Bolasie 's out there, but it wsa very important we didnt buy any of them and blow more cash we havent got.
The window was spot on, of course players would of been interested, but not ones we should of been getting

They have appealed against the Premier League board’s decision to reject their wish to have Steve Cook reinstated into their 25-man squad amid a shortage of centre-backs. Cook was left out of the Forest squad submitted at the end of January’s transfer window after the arrival of Felipe but Willy Boly has since been ruled out for the season, Scott McKenna is sidelined for six weeks and Moussa Niakhaté is yet to return from a hamstring injury after being out since August. “We can’t understand why it’s been rejected, looking at the rules and some things which have gone on in previous years,” said Forest’s manager, Steve Cooper. “We’ll remind them [the Premier League] of the rules they wrote, and hopefully we’ll be OK.”

Hope they aren’t allowed to add him
Cook is crap but that’s not the point - they signed 30-odd players ffs.

If it was a keeper crisis then crack on and allow the signing, not a cb. Play or register a kid.
