So it seems like Dyche has said he's ok with the fan protests and as long as the team is supported in the ground he's not bothered.
Kinda puts to bed all the 'the protests affect the team and new manager' arguments.

It didn’t stop us winning against Arsenal. And let’s be honest here mate, we had been appalling home and away for years without any form of protests and whenever there is a sign of some progress it falters time and again. because the club is not set up to compete at the highest levels.

There is never going to be a right time to protest. Ever. What happens next season if we stay up this year, but we're backing in the same position desperately hoping to beat the drop again? Do we just keep kicking the can down the road, hoping that things will change for the better on their own? Because that absolutely won't happen. The only winners in that scenario are the people who have brought us to this place. No, its now or never. Protests must continue to happen both before and after every single home game and during the match we put that to one side and support the donkeys on the pitch.

I see it like this: if we survive there'll be a quick takeover and these people will formally be out. If we get relegated then no one at the club at the top will remain in position. The situation is unrecoverable for them either way now.

If I was a player and at every home game we had there were fans on the march I'd simply see the football as a sideshow and the club as a basket case where anarchy rules the day. Why would I fight for that?

I know footballers are often considered to have the intelligence of a turnip -- and in some cases actually do (hello, Ross) -- but I think ours are astute enough to at least differentiate between criticism of their play and that of the board. I wasn't there for the Arsenal game, obviously, but I have seen enough games on TV (and the one time I was lucky enough to make it over) to know that when the players are performing like they were that game, they know the crowd will back them 100%.

Yup.
We need protests that get media attention without affecting the players on the field.
The only way to do that is before and after the game.
If relegation does happen, then during the game.

That's not what I said.

There's a major difference between what's happening now before games than last season. I think that'll have a major impact on our eventual finishing place this season.

The fans are the only thing of worth about this club. If they choose to get Everton over the line and shelve all other considerations until a point when we're safe then I think we'll get safe. If there continues to be an open wound at the club with fans turning inward then we'll more than likely lose our PL status. The fans wont lose it for us, but the fans are the only ones who can prevent it happening.

I dont think you can do two things and keep them separate: protest and then support. It's not that the fans cant physically do both, it's just that the aura around the club cant handle it.

We either have responsibility exercised by the only force that matters at Everton: the fans, or we're sunk.

That's my opinion. If this was going on at Leeds or West Ham I'd see them as weakened.

Yes, but it's when we have to dig games out and there's the knowledge that this club is the subject of fan disgruntlement off the pitch that those players will have to show they can do it. I dont think they can and they'll hide behind those divisions instead of staying in a game and mounting a fightback.

How can we believe that the protests are not having an effect on players going into a stadium - it's too fantastical as a notion.

I do agree but honestly has shown how bad this board has been still nothing from them. Would be great to go back to the support of last season again but this is what the board has caused. We have to force them out, imo is important we create what we did for the coach welcome into the ground. For me i cant get back to last season as this board has been a disgrace dont think i have ever been this angry at the club

Are they? Coady, tarks, gana, Onana, McNeil, maupay/simms. Patterson and garner to come in as well.

Even excluding Patterson and garner, that’s over half the starting 11 that’s different.
