Mina is a waste of time I'm afraid. He's also got an eye on his last contract elsewhere in a few months.

Godfrey should be left back I agree.

Keane will be thinking it's a matter of time before he's getting a game though... Coady an Tarkowski both haven't been great.
If Mina has an eye on another contract he needs to prove he can play football matches. A few months of Mina putting in 90% performances would be levels above anything else we have and be a huge help keeping us up especially with his set piece threat too and the fact we’re clearly actually trying to use set pieces again!

We have to remember that Tarkowski and Coady did well against Arsenal and they are two players who are in match rhythm. Keane and Godfrey are players who have not played for a long time, and you usually need some time to get into match rhythm. They also won't solve the problem of when we have the ball, neither of them are very good players with the ball. In addition, it is rarely wise to make too many changes in the defensive line.

Such a poor footballer, how he gets a game over Mina baffles me.
Simple really, Mina will play 30 minutes, then fall to the floor - hold the back of his leg or top of his thigh then not be seen for 6 weeks!
If he could stay fit he’d start every game, but it’s the staying fit bit that the problem!

I think he wont get one here no matter what.

He'll have options elsewhere, options that are dimished as/when he gets another injury here.

He'll just dance around Finch Farm waiting for his next contract in a few months.

Dyche spoke about the issue of having players at Burnley seeing out their contract in his last season there - I'd be surprised if he saw Mina as the option. Even if he was, the fella is as reliable as Calvert-Lewin anyway.

You want a consistent defence. If Coady needs replacing, then for me it's Keane who comes in.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion around here but I think Keane needs another opportunity and I truly believe Dyche is going to give him the chance. And it very well could be on Saturday or vs Villa.

Unfortunately this is the case with our best defender.

Mina's fitness is the issue. As a defensive leader and an actual defender, he's the best at the club. But can't be relied on.
