Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

The club told me he doesn't have a season ticket. He also told me this week it was his 'Grandad's wake' hence the ticket hold up...

He mainly wanted to communicate with me using WhatsApp voice notes which should have set alarm bells ringing tbh.

I even chucked him an extra £20 for the inconvenience of posting the tickets to me, the rat.

I had the same problem mate but managed to get it back by pestering him non stop. Also rang the club and they started chasing him too (club were very helpful to be fair)

I didn't even think to involve the club. But I will look at that and other avenues if he doesn't pay today. I really don't want it to come to that at all, but I feel it's hard to think of any other alternative really. I'm curious if anyone has actually successfully received tickets from him in the past.

I managed to get tickets from him for the Palace game at home. He's since offered me more tickets which I declined.

He told me he was part of a supporters club called "Club 1878" and that's how they got so many tickets. Might be worth mentioning that to the club.

Definitely contact them mate. He's evidently up to allsorts of tricks.

Did exactly the same to me. Penny finally dropped when I tried ringing him via a normal route and the number was invalid.

Just catching up on the Connor Tinnion chat, guys am absolute weirdo.
My story with him:
First involvement was getting a Wolves away (ticket only) off him last season. Travelled down in the car to Wolverhampton on the understating that I'd pick up a ticket off a third party coming off a supporters bus. THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED! Had no reason to think beforehand that the guy was up to something and following this successful ticket get it reinforced that I could trust him.

2nd go around was Palace away, think it was the FA Cup game, paid him for the ticket/coach this time and then closer to the game he got in touch to say "they" (the unnamed guys running the coach) had overbooked and loads of people had been affected, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to go. Got my money back, so I'm thinking it's a genuine error. He's 1-1 with me at this point and the reasoning for Palace seems genuine so I'm still trusting the guy.

Involvement 3 - Newcastle away. He has a mate who has a spare and so I pay him for ticket only and travel up to Newcastle in the car. Bit risky you might think but he came good at Wolves. Stay in contact with him leading up to the game, up to and including texting him to say I'm setting off after I finished work and I'd get in touch when I get parked in Newcastle. I get to Newcastle and...radio silence off Tinnion. I'm up the creek without a paddle. Absolutely fuming.
Took me days to get a response from him, he hits me with some absolute guff about "didn't think you wanted the ticket as you didn't stay in touch", even though I literally text him last opportunity I had before the drive! He then starts some crap about his phone being broken, all sorts of excuses. Says he will pay me back but then asks for time as he's skint. Did eventually get the money back off him for that but what I wasted going up there was a write-off.

Would absolutely support anyone thinking about getting in touch with the club, he's an absolute fantasist. Proclaims to be involved with some of the coaches but no-one who goes the game has ever heard of him. Unbelievable that he's still mugging people off, after all this time.

Weird thing is, that Wolves ticket! He came good, I got that and went the game! So I don't understand what his motivation is. Genuinely think he's a desperate fantasist trying to be involved on ticket sourcing rather than a conman, and just continually screws up when he can't get a hold of briefs and then goes silent on you.

Strange character indeed

Everything you've said there sounds like classic Tinnion. He's up to it on Twitter aswell so the more of us who can get on to him, the better. The club have him flagged now too. The club told me on Friday they rang his phone 8 times, left voicemails etc and have it all recorded. He still denied that had happened.

Just looking and I've still got a number for this Tinnion chancer, if anyone is still chasing money off him, it's maybe different to one you have? Give us a shout if anyone wants it
I deleted him from my contacts last night after reading more of this thread - doh! BUT I had a 'Conversation' with @GrandOldTeam Admin regarding Brentford away December 2021 so maybe Admin can intervene again here? I won't say who, but somebody else on here was also involved with him regarding that match as we exchanged experiences via 'Converation' and likely they were the one that escalated the issue to @GrandOldTeam (it's up to that other person if they want to contribute their experience here). The use of WhatsApp and the plethora of explanations for promised tickets not arriving (or delayed reimbursement) told by others ring true with me. I think I was able to find him via the web so when we chatted on WhatsApp he may have got 'I know where you live' vibes?!

Sorry to clog up the ticket chat with this ?‍♂️
