Here’s what will happen today.

Dyche will take his first press conference and say some real stuff that will resonate with you and then you’ll come on here to report getting a good feeling from him, and suddenly feeling optimistic that’s he’s the right man to save Everton. Same as you’ve done almost annually for the last seven years.

Let me speculate that some of you by May, but a lot of you by Christmas, will be abusing him and hounding him out.

*snake in circular shape eating it’s own tail*
Incoming taunts of bretixball, anti football and other such hyperbole.

Big Sean’s going to be getting it on all fronts.

I have those labels down as facts.

It's one thing to play deep and counter. It's quite another to have tactics that call for keeping the ball in play as little as possible. This was a feature of Burnley for too long to be a coincidence. His sides can't win by playing football.

Part of me thinks the guy is deluded...thinks that he has enough in the squad to stay up. Talks well but so was lampard...problem is doing more and less talking...the alignment stuff is for the birds.
He has to be positive.
He’ll also something to prove and a lot of professional pride. It’s a massive undertaking but not impossible and he’s backing himself.

That really is the case. We're months away from panic mode, or should be. A better position than last year i reckon.

I think it all comes down to the first half against Arsenal. Play well, show some fight, keep it close and everyone will accept a narrow loss if it comes in the second half. Sets us up for a dogs of War nothing to lose against the RS.

Find ourselves pumped 3 down within 20-30 minutes and the stadium will turn on its head, the vaults of hell will be opened up and we're back to square one facing armageddon.

Just watched his full press conference then for the first time.

A fair few clichés which is understandable and a lot of asking for the fans to give him and the team a chance.

He'll get it, they'll get it and they've got to give it back.

The players need to understand that the board have chucked all Evertonians under a bus, so if they think they're hurting, well they need to x100 on how we are feeling. Our name has been dragged through the [Poor language removed] these last few weeks, irreparably when it comes to the relationship with the owner and board.

So we'll get behind the manager and team, but ffs lads (as in Everton team) , how about getting behind the fans for a change and showing that you care and give it absolutely everything you've got.

Win, lose or draw, you can walk off with your head held high then.

HAHA. He likes scampi fries.
Not a chance

Pint of bitter every round….
Tried Guinness once and hated it, all other beers are pisswater and craft beer is for students and men of questionable testicular fortitude.

Later in the night it’s dry roasted and bacon fries…. Fish and chips on the way home wrapped in daily sport, salt and vinegar, no sauce.

His press conference sounded like David Brent after 20 B&H
I like him though, just loves a cliche filled waffle that doesn’t really go anywhere but his positive attitude is infectious as you can tell from the positive reactions from almost all fans on all platforms

The off the field antics have been a disgrace and have ruined us. However on the pitch i'm certain Dyche will get this squad firing mate. Forest are running around like headless chickens buying scrap. Dyche has a decent squad here and will not be scared to experiment to get it right, Lampard was. If Simms was not our player we'd have been made up to sign him in the window and been thankful. Better than some of these 'free's", who Dyche said are free for a reason. I'm confident Dave.
I hope that's true mate. I have faith in him, I have faith in the players we have for the most part...I just dont believe we have the depth to see this through.

Selling Gordon: whoever sanctioned that needs stringing up.

I agree I think we are down anyway but regardless of whether we are or are not going down the protests must continue but they must be peaceful
I cant see the need for them personally. Does anyone actually believe those cowards will ever attend another game?

The only thing the protests will do is to provide the media with the ongoing 'Everton in crisis' narrative they lap up and undermines us with.

The manager's said he wants unity. I suppose the protest organisers either heed that or just tell him they support him 100% but then ignore his request to "park it for now".

Proper man’s man isn’t he.

Kind of fella who’d offer to put the shelves up for you when you knock to borrow a hammer.

Kind of fella who’d show your missus the time of her life whilst you had a cry-wank in the corner.

Lampard was talking relegation battle before a ball was kicked. That's not talking well imo.
