Mina defo.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, provided he stays fit which is unbelievable right now anyway, is made for this s**thouse brand of football with loads of crosses in the box though. He should thrive on it, if he gets some discipline in.

Many, many huge IFs though.
Just a horrible finisher though with an even horribler first touch. Give him a chance yes in the new 442 but don't ignore Ellis. He deserves a run if lewin is not producing.

Why not both? lol

He's an okay finisher, just not clinical. It sadly really shows now (and last season) as we NEEDED him to score every chance, whereas previously when we were playing and creating more him missing a chance wasn't a big deal cuz he'd get 4 more.

Lampard was all about the "process" and dyche all about "alignment"...catchy words that don't translate into results.
Dyche is also about playing for the fans more directly and seems to wear his heart on his sleeve and believe his way is great. It may not be pleasant, but it's a way at least. Also seems to know what we think of him with the marmite comment.

Lamps had no way/direction it would seem - yeah players played for him, he never lost em, but same players are comically unfit, didn't look even half organised for most games, had no functional plan, etc.

Not saying he's some football messiah like, but for the first time in a while we will probably have a clear direction and "style", even if it's ugly.

He has to be positive.
He’ll also something to prove and a lot of professional pride. It’s a massive undertaking but not impossible and he’s backing himself.
There must be a reason why no other premier league club despite all the changes we had in the last year were interested. I do believe though that he is a better manager than lampard, but I don't buy all is good and well when the board has failed the club like never before in January. He was quick backing up the board which is understandable. Great managers are honest and don't care about upsetting the board.

Fitness was not the issue...lampard never got the balance right between defending and attacking on a consistent basis...and we'll find out very soon if the right balance is possible with the level of players we have upfront. Compensating the lack of quality you have in front of goal by being more forward minded across all of the team meant having to take too many risk on the defending side.
