I suspect some form of asset stripping is going on at Everton. A case could be made that he does not mind us going down. I have no idea why but we can't blame financial fair play anymore for our baffling lack of purchases. There may be some connection here between Moshiri and Usmanov that is driving the narrative. I mean his interview with the fan forum came across as disengenous, offering up cringe worthy platitudes to placate us! No, something fishy here.

We are in a much worse financial mess than they are letting on. That can be the only explanation for the lack of activity today. He's devaluing his own asset by not adding to the playing squad and thus making relegation a near certainty. With Usmanov gone the cash has completely dried up.
