Thelwell didn't know whether it was going to be Dyche or Bielsa until Friday so they were looking at transfers over the weekend and obviously needed the Gordon money. Even if we'd sacked Frank earlier and got a manager in at the start of the month then we would have still had to sell Gordon or someone before we could spend anything.

That just lets the owner and board off though we are a dumpster fire because of them and in an even bigger hole because of their mismanagement and lack of actions for months. They could have recruited earlier in the window, before things got even worse now we are scramble around for the scraps and seemingly getting knocked back. Every team has strengthened around us. They can't use finances as an excuse now either
