Think this is a fairly sensible move by us, seems to be doing well again in the Championship and now that Brereton-Diaz is off the table he’s probably one of the better striking options from there. Still leaves loads of the Gordon money for a proper winger too and a loan at least.

Meanwhile Gykokeres would be competing with Maupay.

You then have one target man (DCL/Adams) with a narky snide (Maupay/Gyokeres) causing chaos alongside them.

I wouldnt be surprised if we were trying for both at £30mil.

I think we definitely need another striker because Calvert-Lewin is no longer a player that the Club can rely on.
