The problem is that Bielsa would have been (IMHO) a far better fit.

The OP can talk about toxicity all they want but the 40000 are angry with good reason, its not about the style of play or even the string of results that has enraged people - its the serial incompetence.

Or to put it another way, imagine they announced Bielsa this morning and Kenwright, DBB and the rest all quit in protest. Would anyone be feeling better or worse than they are now?
I know what you're saying, and I'd have loved Bielsa too, but Goodison gets as angry for a bad refereeing decision as it does for an incompetent board. That's the good kind of rage that gets us going imo

all day anyone’s deluded who thinks we’re staying up
Literally relegated a team less than a year ago (after relegating them once previously) and yet he is a “safe pair of hands” “will get the best out of players” “survival specialist”

People are utterly deluded and will deserve it when we finally go down. But hey at least they didn’t have to ask any difficult questions of the board.

Think he will want a full back, a couple of wingers and a centre forwards.

The Duke will be back in play as well.
Yep. RB, RW, CF will be required for this to work. Though Godfrey at RB may be a viable option.

I think James Garner could do well in the #8 role; but he's got a lot of competition. Agree on Doucoure too,

A left back in my opinion mate, i see Coleman, Keane and The Duke being back in play. You could be right on Godfrey now that i think of it.
