Lampard was that young aspirational manager! He was pants. And if we were to try and recruit a similar profile, it would probably go the same way! We should have gone for Potter or Howe in Summer, or when we hired nobhead, but it’s too late for that now.…if I’m Dyche there’s no way I sign for 6 months. The big bonus will be part of the deal anyway. Imagine players working for a boss they know is out the door soon. If I’m Bielsa, i say you either want me now on my terms or not at all.
I’m not paid lots of money to identify the right person but somewhere out there is a young aspirational & ambitious manager that will make a difference.
Everton is a huge proposition to that type. We need to get lucky but much rather that than the same old failures jumping from one sinking ship to another.
Sticking my neck out and say hiring Bielsa will be the defining moment of Moshiri’s reign. A game changing appointment that will reverse the fortune of our club.We all know the hierarchy have no clue but being the optimist, I’m now desperately resorting to the hope that one day they might just get ‘the right’ manager purely by accident and law of averages.?
I’ll accept any decision at this point and hope for the best and if we stay up then fair play.Sticking my neck out and say hiring Bielsa will be the defining moment of Moshiri’s reign. A game changing appointment that will reverse the fortune of our club.
The last time I felt so convince towards any manager was Klopp, he was unemployed and Rofraudo was having a terrible season. We missed the boat, sacked Rofraudo way too late and end up with Koeman, one can only imagine what klopp can do with Moshiri’s first ever transfer window.I’ll accept any decision at this point and hope for the best and if we stay up then fair play.
God forbid we go down then a complete overhaul will happen anyway.
Thing is, the answer is both. Dyche might keep us up but can’t take us forwards, Bielsa is a risk to keep us up but would reinvent the club.Forgive me for another thread mods but it looks like these two are the main contenders so I thought it would be really interesting at this point to have a vote just on these two and see where we are all at with it. If you had to choose either Marcelo Bielsa or Sean Dyche, which one would it be?
Also they both show up if you google unemployed Premier League manager and then cross reference that with one's you've seen on the telly in the last year or so, ie our recruitment policy. That these two are the apparent choices shows the absolute lack of any strategy at all. Diametrically opposed. No consideration of the players at their disposal.
The board are cretins.
