Absolutely rinse them.

30m for woods

65m for isak

They've wanted him since the summer. Put out a load of story's about Chelsea coming in for him and get some dollars in the bank!

This - I think there's a very good chance he's going to end up making some people on here look stupid, but we are where we are and if we have any prayer of staying up this season it needs to be via some last minute deals and without a significant sale or two, I don't see how we achieve that
Him hitting and turning into a 65 million level player doesn't necessarily mean it's a mistake. Especially if a sale is forced come the summer anyway from a drop in division and also factoring the limited potential suitors. Context is important, and judging the market evaluation of a player in relation to the club's trajectory. And even more the right investment with the return.

This is an extreme example but Brighton sold Ben White and instead of being worried on if he would appreciate, reinvested 18 of 58 million into Cucurella who they subsequently moved the next year for 65 million. That's 123 million in returns, 105 if you subtract Cucurella's inital fee from Getafe, that has rolled over into each year more adds and more value propositions and plus spending ability in regards to FFP.

Gordon is viably are only leverage asset where similar turnover is possible albeit for lesser sums. The facts are he isnt crucial in results, a drop could slice his return, his head having been turned in the summer and the squad needing signings for possible survival and for sell ons down the road is a lot of arrows to making sure this gets done.

Rats deserting a sinking ship? We are really getting ready for the championship.
Possibly operating with that level of pragmatism may be our best way to get out of the championship in a year's time. If most these players would expect a move come summer anyway from relegation, your'e better selling them at premier league rates than when the drop happens and the returns get cut in half. A reality that would lead us with almost no funds to buy. Thats how you end up Sunderland. Facts are this is where we are.

Any of it tbh.
He has to be responsible for the transfer that fell through under his watch. He is the director of football. He is accountable for recruitment. If he isn't, then he shouldn't be at the club. So, as I see it, he is just another body/problem getting in the way of a solution.
