I remember meeting him as a kid - my grandad used to take me to the game in the box and I ended up meeting him quite often in the lounge after the game (after they closed the free bar) - He always came across as enthusiastic but that is best part of 35 years ago I guess. Genuinely, from the little I know I don't think he means or meant any malice for the club. But I think when the Moores started syphoning money out of the club post John Moores, he was left in a pretty uneviable position. That whole - I won't let someone come in unless they want to be part of the thing - well theatrically it worked and may he found moshiri and the backers as a good lead role. Personally I dont believe the broken fax etc - but I also don't believe he would put his own personal gain above the club - he just didn't seem like that person to me in that setting - bearing in mind that setting had hatton around at the time. I dunno - obviously he needs to go but I don't think he is hanging around for personal gain..... again - just a feel and a vibe and obvs people can change - just don't think that's him.

I hope he’s not hanging round for personal gain , he’s already had 20 odd million pounds worth of that when he sold his shares,
