I honestly would have thrown Mina or Onana up front with DCL and replaced the CM void with Docoure/Davies to give DCL flick on support.

He was terrible for years, had a decent 6 month spell and has been terrible since. Why are we surprised at this level of performance? Complete ineptitude to rely on him as the only striker at the club for so long.

For whatever reason the injuries have ruined him. Used to wear down defenders and win duels, which is what kept him in the side. Had one decent patch of scoring but at least he provided that when he wasn't. There's no point now.

I don’t dislike him, I feel sorry for him. He was flying high, scoring for his country, then the time out of the game has physically and mentally destroyed the lad. (I know boohoo millionaire footballer etc etc).

Hope if he does leave he doesn’t aim too high. Go somewhere mid-table in Europe and smash some goals in for a couple of years. Not built for Everton unfortunately.
