Don’t be silly. 95% of players couldn’t give a crap as long as they’re paid every week. You’ve got people in droves taking the step down to play for Newcastle and take blood money, players going to Barcelona knowing full well they’ve asked players to take massive pay cuts, good players have signed for nailed on relegated teams for the pay.
Any player that has come to us over the past near decade has been for the money, that reason won’t change. Saying what you’re saying is putting the blame on the fans again when in reality it’s once again a boardroom issue, we could easily sign players if we had the money for it, we don’t because they spunked it up the wall.
Any player worth their salt will look at the way Iwobi has been treated and think Everton is a cake walk, put in a bit of effort for a few weeks and then fans will treat you like the second coming.

I was only joking but on a more serious note, there is has to be a positive mental attitude to what we can achieve in terms of strengthening the team otherwise we will go down.
31 years old, £15m, 1 goal this season, 4 goals in 34 appearances for his country, only ever really played in Italy.
Sometimes I wonder why swearing isn’t allowed on this forum, this is an insane transfer to attempt to save us. Does anyone have a brain at our football club?!?
