January Transfer Window 2023

Our situation is self inflicted. Largely by that no mark DOF. We will not be in such desperation if he did not sign maupet and McNeil. Say what you like but these 2 signings are a major part of our inept attack this season and the price we are paying now is 18th place as it stands.

But a lot of fans are contradicting themselves with this line of thinking.

Fans want business to be done...

But if we're skint or theres no good players available then if that business means players like McNeil then fans would rather we not do business...

But if we dont do business then Kevs a lazy dosser....

But if does sign a Maupay or McNeil on the drip then he's a crap DOF.

12 days or 300 hours and 34 minutes until the transfer window closes, because we know this club doesn't work weekends.

Less than 2 weeks for Thelwell to actually do something.

Never mind buying a player Docoure, Mina and Davies all have 6 months left on their contracts. If they're not sold this transfer window they'll leave for free, it's so unbelievably negligent.

Ya. Ridiculous that given our current plight every one isn't so thrilled to be potentially signing a 33 year old centre half. Shame on the fans.
Ffs

Yea....bacasue no experienced 30 something player has ever helped us out...

We dont have the pick of the world, we are at the back of the cue for many players.

We cant expect prime players smahing it in other leagues.

Nobody knows who will or wont imporve us as all, every siging is a risk.

With the negative attitude towards new players, it just means they cant wait to be angry and proved right about a signing....

Seems easier to just hate on any player linked, rather than the prospect of getting behind him when he signs.
You’re wrong

Me and Mike and a lot of other said that Dwight McNeil wouldn’t improve us and he’s not very good

We were right

I could've told you the lad with 0 goals and 1 assist at Burnley wasn't going to cut it. You didn't have to be nostradamus to see that

Mah, he is a body in for a few quid thats not worked so far.....he may end upo ok, who knows.

Richarlison had 5 goals when we signed him.

Kevin Campbell was old, injury prone and unwanted.

Richard Gough was a grandad.

Andy Gray was old and injury prone.

Every singing is a risk, and sometimes you take a punt on a player.

I guarantee no other club would've signed him this summer too if we didn't.

A few quid was half of what we spent on attackers in the summer after selling our one good one. McNeil wasn't a risk as much as it was skydiving without a parachute.

Has anyone heard The Bobbles podcast with Henry Winter.... Perhaps I`ve been living under a rock but I`m shocked to find out we had a deal in place for Livramento from Southampton just before Carlo left and Benitez came in and vetoed it... he would have been a decent signing.

And it was Benitez that pulled out of the Luis Diaz deal....

Obviously I don`t know if this is all true but...... FFS Moshiri, Benitez, why did you do it?

….we know Benitez refused to even speak on the phone to Brands, i imagine this was all part of him wanting to set his mark on the club and do his own deals.

Blows out the water @4737carlin & Benitez 8 who laud his transfer business.

"Or there's no good players available"

What a load of **** of course there are good players available, the football world doesn't just consist of us and 19 other premiership teams.

Fact is, and I do believe this to be a fact, if we DONT sign anyone and we finish the season with this current set, we are going down.

So far, he may turn out ok.

You seem quite happy that he has failed so far....quite proud infact.
No, not so far. He’s a poor player.

He was a poor player at Burnley, he’s a poor player. And yes, I’m massively happy that Everton have yet again wasted money on players that will sit on long term contract draining money from the club whilst we get relegated.

Im not a fan of him, and he is very frustratring to watch. Yes we look to have over paid at £15 million or so....

But, we need to get behind him, he could turn out ok for us.

No such thing as a bad player at this level, i strongly beleive that.

You seem it, you really do.
