Sir Landon Of Donovan

nice bit of business. Knows what the prem is all about, has good pace and movement, doesn't run into blind alleys like coleman. Saha should appreciate more quality from the wing and there should hopefully should be some nice inter-changing with cahill.

Overall, it's positive. And of the derby is his last game, then the winner at the Kop end would do nicely...after he has had that goofy cnut sent off

Lets see if we can outpace a few defences. And keep it shored up.

I hope so. To be fair there's nothing left for him in America other than the weather!

That's really the truth - he's got nothing left to prove or do in the US. Time for a new challenge and try to make a name for himself outside the US. I get playing at home etc... but if you are a professional footballer, don't you have to see if you can cut it in the big leagues other than just for a brief cameo? Have to.

I would like to see Donovan playing up top. He is too dangerous in front of goal to be out on the wings. Glad he is back. I will have to find a way to watch all of the games again just like last time.

Here is his goals from the first half of this last season. It left out the second half of the season. 2:40 is the best one imo.

Sure, but the continued growth of the sport in the U.S. requires at least some homegrown stars to stay and play in MLS. That is, after all, one of the main purposes of the "designated player" rules (allowing teams to exceed the salary cap to sign up to three players). LA Galaxy could not keep LD if they couldn't pay him market wages.

That said, I'm happen to Donovan heading back to EFC, even if it's just for a short stay.

Nope. He has nothing to prove anywhere period.

115 league goals. 94 league assists.

About 140 National Team caps.
Nearly 50 goals and 50 assists and 5 goals were in a world cup game.

So playing in MLS is the same level as playing in the PL?
Well when a player has played his whole life in the MLS and then comes to Everton and does well I think the developmental differences can be questioned. It's not the same level but I don't think Donovan would be any better had he been playing in England this whole time.

This is the game of someone who still needs to prove himself?
