Absolutely staggering that he’s getting another chance on Friday.
That’s no so much on Frank though, even he probably thinks he should have had the bullet on Tuesday. The clowns in the boardroom are literally throwing him to the wolves tomorrow to protect their own egos, especially with that ludicrous decree in the media that he needs a positive result tomorrow

I wouldn't really say he's being thrown to the wolves. It's a game which probably everyone expects us to lose, but if he pulls a rabbit out of the hat he'll get to keep his job a bit longer. It's just part of being a football manager I suppose.

How many on here would take relegation if it meant the board was restructured/the club was sold?
I don't think there is any comfort to be had from that scenario. How many football club owners/board members are known for the football nous? They are usually a mix of successful business people whose main role is to oversee financial stability and appoint the right football people, but they often get things wrong on the football side. We have been getting it wrong for so long that we are no longer an attractive prospect for successful managers or players, leading to inevitable decline.

The only positive I see is that might see an exodus of the mercenaries happy to sit on big contracts without putting in a shift on the pitch. Picking the right manager will probably be a simple twist of fate.

Worst thing ever, no guarantee club would come up
I'm not bothered tbh, this club needs a complete rebuild from top to bottom and you can't do that in the PL imo. Tbh I'm honestly not sure if I can really be bothered much longer, the club just drains the life out of you. I'm glad my grandad is long dead and doesn't have to see this he would be utterly heartbroken.

Yes but unless you get up the following season it's financial suicide. If a few players not got relegation clauses you stuck with them as they not gonna move anywhere for 6 grand a week. Plus the selling price of the club will halve in value. We really in the mire at West Brom and possibly a Derby or Oldham situation happening in the foreseeable future

Sure it's a huge risk but a large number of our fanbase need a reality check about where our club sits

I'm not sure that's true to be honest. Obviously some do, but a lot of what you hear is just bluster and people trying to salvage what little pride that hasn't been kicked out of them by making out like we're still relevant. Most people are all too aware of where the club is in reality, they might try to talk us up (someone has to) but they aren't blind.
