2022/23 Tom Davies

Can’t see him getting a new deal and he can’t really argue he deserves one. He’s had chances, lots of them and hasn’t taken them.

That midfield shape tonight was all over the place and he seems to be involved in midfield capitulations over and over again.
 



Tom is never going to be a world beating midfielder but he was not the problem tonight , compare his performance to Doucoure who made us even worse, The issue was that nobody moves Davies received the ball on many occasions and looked up to find every other blue player stood still. We had wingers on the wrong side who won't cross with their wrong feet and a right back who had an absolute shocker but lets have ago at Davies because he's an easy target. Many things wrong tonight but this time Tom was not one of them

have to totally disagree. his very first option everytime is to pass backwards. I think he doesn't look up and takes the easy backwards option time and time again. I think we are so used to watching utter junk now it's like well he isn't great but he isn't really the problem.

Tom is a problem and he might be a decent fella but he is a woeful footballer. woeful.

He was awful. The usual problem of having no pace, which you really can’t improve on
 
Tom Davies was not the problem tonight though he'll get the blame from the usual suspects. He's a limited midfielder who should be playing in championship but so should plenty of others
