Yup. I used to live in Bamberg. Schlenkerla is the spot—-have a really good restaurant at the brewery as wellI think I clocked 1 or 2, only bottled though, its more popular further north into Bavaria I think, Bamberg is the place.

The result of this evening.
Well, the difference in the quality of beers between The Netherlands and Belgium is quite staggering tbh. Really only a very few decent brands over here, while I found Belgium to be a true beer Walhalla.Very nice, but then most beer is.
Why's that ? The domination of big brands, cultural drinking habits ?Well, the difference in the quality of beers between The Netherlands and Belgium is quite staggering tbh. Really only a very few decent brands over here, while I found Belgium to be a true beer Walhalla.
They just do beer better. Guess it's about culture, but Belgium outdo us bigtime in beers. It's not even a contest. Went to a Belgium beer store today. They have about a 1000 different beers there. And that's not even the biggest store they have. Consider myself very lucky to live about a 15-20 minutes drive from the Belgian border. Why's that ?
