Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

For the veggies on here, what are you doing for Christmas dinner? Or even those not partial to turkey, what’s on the menu?

Just curious as I sat down earlier to roughly plan out my own cooking times to keep me half right.
We will have...... Roasties , cauliflower, broccoli, peas , turnip and carrot mash, cabbage, parsnips , sprouts , veggie pigs in blankets and a quorn roast with lashings of onion gravy.....and most important a very good red wine

Mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, broccoli, sprouts, carrots, roast parsnips, stuffing balls, Quorn roast, Yorkshire Pudding and onion gravy.. I know some people don’t think Y P belongs on Christmas dinner but we’ve always had it because we’re a bit common. lol The rest of the family will have turkey and pigs in blankets along with the veg.

You don’t really see Yorkshire Puddings here at all but I have tried them. Christmas dinner is just a big Sunday dinner so why not!

Just back from Anglesey, had a wonderful time and more than happy to recommend the Bishopsgate Hotel in Beaumaris. Very old , full of character, good food and reasonable prices.
Drive back was horrendous, absolutely hammered down all the way.
However the weather forecast for the next 3 days is lovely so looking forward to the Christmas festivities, which will include a visit to the pub , It's a Wonderful Life , Mrs J's fabulous roast , a curry on Boxing Day and a few glasses of vino
Unfortunately Everton have a game so that's likely to ruin Boxing Day .
Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful time. Take care.

Christmas Eve eve and I’m for finally home in Spain again feeling pretty great too .. no more hospital visits for 3 months
Family including my 3 year old granddaughter have all come over to see me so the house is nice and playful and very Christmassy .
@jazzy sorry I missed your birthday
The rest of you it’s nice to be back .. I’ll try and catch up on the chatter but I’m not sure I’ll read everything I’ve missed
I may paint tomorrow it seems ages same nice I did
Have a great evening all I’ve got an appointment with a 3 year old and Paw Patrol

Can't believe G&T Friday has come around again. Tonight's offering is Opihr, a lovely lightly spiced gin which is one of Cal's favourites. I take it with lemon, a few green cardamom pods and Fevertree tonic. Cheers everyone. View attachment 197950
You certaintly attain a higher level of G&T than we do ,we don't have that kind of selection here .Have a great evening Fred .
