may have been Argentinahaven't they been knocked out by European teams each time as well
I tell thee what.looking like the semi finals will be Holland, England, Croatia and Morocco then
Not even sure Argentina want to counter attack themselves. Just can't let the Dutch.Yeah, this looks like it's set up to resemble the Disgrace of Gijon without the goal. Both sides want to counterattack.
I think that's a cover for deep insecurity, personally. It's not enough to win. They're expected to blast teams off the face of the planet, the way Pele's sides did.I just think they’re too cocky, overly confident
lollollollollolCalling this now:
....hard lines Croatia.
There’s no fear factor to them any more really. They seem mortal these daysI think that's a cover for deep insecurity, personally. It's not enough to win. They're expected to blast teams off the face of the planet, the way Pele's sides did.
Ronaldo is the only player they have produced since who managed to stand up to playing in that kind of a shadow. As insane as it may sound, he holds the record for goals scored by a player that lifted the trophy in that tournament. The only question is whether scoring every goal in the semifinal and final is more impressive than Maradona single-handedly hauling Argentina into the final in the preceding two rounds.
The Germany game in Brazil presumably still leaves a lot of scars. There’s no fear factor to them any more really. They seem mortal these days
