Can the Police not track it on the same basis, assuming it stays switched on?
I think he will have received a mail notification but the IP address will have changed ,not sure if it can be disabled though as a phone can. May be he can send something to "his "imac to help them follow but I doubt it as they wouldn't have taken it .
I was burgled many years ago and they did a fine job anything of value it seemed ,the police told me they would have been in and out in four minutes ! Top to bottom tins with money ,watch hidden under clothes etc.
Isn't it weird thinking back it wasn't the tv ,computer and such like ,it was the things they found that you wouldn't expect that I remembered first .
I was told a story by the insurance guy .
He said he had just paid out a man who had his jag stolen .The car was almost new and he had been saving for years to get it ,the owner had phoned the police every hour at first but was told they would do their best, so stop .It is well known that these prestige cars can be on a boat before the owner knows they are gone.
After a week his car was back on his drive -perfect- and a message on his seat that the thief's wife had gone into labour and he was very sorry ,there was a box of chocolates and two tickets to see Elton John on the Empire theatre .
As soon as they drove off the drive to see Elton a pantechnicon rolled around the corner and they took everything carpets and all as they knew were he was and how long he would be away.

That is like the plot from a heist film. Wow!

Did some police work yesterday.. the roads didn’t have names but I found a near by airstrip marked. Used the road grid pattern and identified a potential house. I’m in contact with the Zim police who are planning to go today.. once I have transferred fuel and data money for them. Btw.. that is common. It’s not necessarily a pay off in some African countries.. the cops don’t have the resources to do their job.
