Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

As Caitlin said to me, "Mark, we are only a day away". But that was way before Ollie and I had our unexpected and special moment.

If the majority of their generation are similar to them, the Uk, (and NZ!) have a decent future.
Start my day choked up reading that @roydo. Best wishes to them both and of course to you as well mate.

I know we all have to let our kids live their own lives but not sure I would manage well with them being far away like that.

I’m
What’s on your menu this morning?
i just finished eating espaol amigo a toasted bread roll with tomat cheese and two fried eggs on top a cafe con Lethe and now I’m kicked back with a glass of water listening to some soft morning jazz ….. this place “Lisboa fast and slow” is one of my favourite places in the world to click back …… the boss is a coffee snob (like me) and sells about 20 varieties so I buy a bag of beans here every week

What a wonderful way to start a Monday.

In contrast, working in a very rainy Belfast today and I left my packed lunch at home ffs.

A belated hello and good afternoon.Off to the hospital for 7am this morning so no chance to post .The wife's appointment was seven and by 5 to they had booked her in after that all downhill ,they said she would be tested for sideways movement in the ankle to see if it needed an op but they changed her into a gown and left us waiting for over an hour then the nurse came over and said that because of the snow there had been accidents and they were the priority so it would be late afternoon before they see her in the theatre .
She is not best pleased , I came home an hour ago and will go back when she says . It is surprisingly boring just sitting we ask for a rest most days but when it arrives we get bored !
Have a great day all.

Oh that’s rubbish, hope the hospital are able to see Mrs B sooner rather than later. Agree about just sitting, the novelty soon wears off.

Hey chaps. Been a very long time. I admit work pressure makes me very reclusive and not particularly chatty…
But as my mom came to visit from the UK we took her up country to a game farm called Mashatu and got to turn off for a bit… here’s probably my favourite pic of the lot.. mom and her cubs.. got to see some leopards .. um… breeding?? But I respect their privacy to not share the pic.

Hope you all good… and those struggling are on the mend!

Great to hear from you and a stunning pic.

Saw eldest and GF today, last time before they chip off to NZ for 2 years. Went to Mums/Grandma new place, then the 3 of us to the Kicker for a few. Had a lovely few hours, then GF disappeared so Eldest and me could have a farewell.

It was very emotional for me, which was a total surprise to me, tears in me eyes as I told him "look after her, and I have never been prouder of you".

They fly to Wellington at the end of the month, got accomodation/mate there for 2 weeks, (bank accounts, car etc etc etc), then travelling for a month, up to Auckland @Dylan again to stay with an Uncle, then jobs in the new year. Plan A anyrate.

On the plus side, it’ll give you somewhere nice to visit…
