Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, I'm ok not up to much, finally got a new fridge in, didn't overly miss it really, obviously i prefer milk to coffee mate and I like marg or butter on my bread other than that it's been easy really, although miss yoghurt and cheese.

Hope everyone is good. I am still in the process of increasing my anti psychotics, currently taking 200mg a night and still don't feel like it is doing much, barely even makes me drowsy.

On the football, getting a bit concerned things are getting a bit flat. I think the team are better than they are showing at the minute but if this group of coaches can't get them firing, who the hell could. I really really want Lampard to be a success so i hope we turn the corner after the break.

Have a good day guys.
Welcome back Mr T. Good to hear you're going in the right direction.
I share exactly your thoughts regarding the team and your opinion of Frank.

Good advice here. Unless the cost is overly excessive, you're likely going to pay an excess above and beyond to get a new car.

As long as you keep the key parts to standard, most cars will run to 150,000 miles plus with little issue.
Just traded my 2007 Nissan x-trail in, I got it when it was a year old, had it for 14 years and took it from 5k to 178k with no major problems.
It was still on the original clutch and I only changed one complete exhaust at about 130k. Only got a new battery 2 years ago and not once did the engine ever fail to start.
Not my most favourite car but certainly the best value car I've had.

Have treated myself to a 2019 Ford Kuga with a 1.5 eco petrol engine and 15k on the clock. I'm semi retired these days so don't do nearly as much mileage.

Exactly. As long as you maintain servicing, check things like oil regularly topped up or changed and drive steadily, most cars will last a long, long time.

Most problems will come from people the lack of maintenance or people driving like tits, which puts excessive pressure on stuff like the clutch, brakes etc.

Morning people, hope everyone is good today. Not raining but cold today, still won't put the heating on for any length of time though. I'd rather go cold than pay these greedy barstewards these ridiculous prices.

I live in a middling size town and everything is so expensive, I dread to think the price of things in London right now.

Have a good one.

G&T Friday and a special treat tonight. Was in the local shop earlier stocking up on my posh sausages and came across a new gin distilled down near the Helford River that had won best gin at recent IWSC awards. Couldn't resist buying a bottle. So with the Rosemullion distillery also a world gold medalist, that's 2 world class gins distilled within a 30 minute walk of where I live. I knew there was a reason I moved here.?

Just for Blue, here's a pic.

Cheers my friend ?

Morning all, bright and breezy here after non stop rain for about 24 hours, at least it will replenish the reservoirs. Safe journey for tomorrow @blue1948, in case you are too busy to stop by later. Off to peg out some washing, you are not the only one with a rock n roll lifestyle @Armaghtoffee .
Have a good day all.?
Well my well planned trip is on hold as the missus has stumbled out walking to keep fit ! And broken her leg right above her ankle so living where we are it is off for a while until she is mobile again .You can just see the break bottom right . So I am head cook and bottle washer until the boss says enough.1668792095389.jpg
