Anyone got an opinion on Mortlach 12...it's shown up here, to my surprise; I did my best to avoid and picked up two bottles of St. Bernardus ABT12 ale instead, since it's a nectar of the Gods and this is the first time I've seen it on the shelf since Covid.
Very sweet, but decent enough midweek blend.

Two new blind buys...I'm curious on the Tamnavulin as it was stocking stuffer cheap compared to what I normally pay; so it'd be nice to stuff a few stockings with it this XMas if it's decent but my hopes aren't high (but, you never know).
Mortlach has a reputation. so I'll be picking a more fitting occasion for the un-corking. Do like their bottle but that doesn't count for anything. Also picked up another bottle of Sprigbank 10 because you should always have a spare...always.

Tamnavulin, if I remember right.

Personally I’m a big fan of the Tamnavulin double cask. Smooth. Well rounded with nice aftertaste of toffee. After a 12hr bout of 'bothends-itis'...somebody else's dodgy lasagne...I'm settling my stomach with this.
