City haven’t changed their style much to accommodate Haaland , most of their goals still come from inside the box moves, like Foden’s disallowed goal . Their problem today was when they had the space in front of them instead of a full on attack they played it back with intricate passes , Pep went berserk on one occasion
Yeah, there were times they'd worked that lot's defence so they were stretched, but city so often killed their own momentum allowing them to regain shape.

This.

They played 'tippy-tappy' football from the back for the whole game, even when 1-0 down.
What they needed to do was launch the ball from the 'keeper onto the RS back four, and pick up the pieces from there.
Didn't Pep realise that yesterday, Milner played like a traditional right back, i.e. didn't go charging over the half way line but stayed put in his own half in his position most of the time?
And for Grealish and Mahrez not to start (did they ever get on the pitch) was sheer idiocy! The two player who could scare the bejesus out of the RS back four didn't feature in his plans. Jeez!
And as I posted previously, to go one-on-oone with Mo Salad on the healfway line from an RS clearance beggars belief!

Pep got it wrong 100%. Most people who've watched football/played could see that.

Seems there's a Panorama programme tonight about the ordeals the angelic RS hordes had to endure in Paris this year.
Whilst there was obvious mismanagement of the handling of the final by the relevant authorities, one topic mentioned by the person overseeing the legal claim being brought by the fans was heavily emphasised. That was the claim that forged tickets was an out and out lie, smokescreen, misinformation, you name it, and that forgeries were not a factor in the chaos that ensued.
If my memory serves me correctly I thought there was evidence to the contrary. Didn't someone get imprisoned for manufacturing tickets and being bought by fans knowing they were duds?

Two screen shots of the RS end, and the RM end just before kick off (on the pitch) will show a neat, seat occupied RM end, and tons of fans sitting on the spaces between the blocks of seats at the RS end.

UEFA must have sent Anfield too many tickets? Or fakes? You decide.

Just watched the highlights of a couple of weekend games.

ManUre v Barcodes: how the barcodes did not get a penalty in the first half is beyond belief. ManUre player nowhere near the ball and took out the Barcode player!
The Cristiano Ronaldo 'goal'. That's a tough one, as it is nor clear whether the Barcodes player played the ball back to the 'keeper for the 'keeper to take the free kick, or whether the Barcodes player actually took the free kick, playing it back to the 'keeper. What can be said is that the ref kept his arm in the air signifying an indirect free kick the whole time, and as soon as Ronaldo played the ball he blew his whistle. I read that as the ref deeming the free kick had not been taken.

Soton v West Ham: Soton goal should have been disallowed - Soton player taking the throw-in had one foot on the pitch. Made worse by the fact that the linesman was about 5 yards away LOOKING at him as he took the throw-in. No wonder the West Ham players were annoyed...

Anyone else got any thoughts on the above two incidents?
