Pep overthinks that fixture every year. Liverpool were there for the taking today if they'd gone at them and got an early goal but they were too passive and by the time they got going Liverpool had the crowd going and their tails up.

He's the same in big CL games.

I watched two games today Chelsea V Villa - That lot v City - both the two top sides played football like a chess game = boring football - the crunch game decided by one big hoof down the middle of the pitch ....

Sorry the game is money influenced now to pay £50 or £60 to watch that live is a total rip-off added to the VAR which slows the game down plus the 5 substitute rule = mostly boring games all over the prem atm....

It proved a direct kick led to a goal instead of Tippy Tappy football......The other game Villa had a go instead of messing around faded in the 2nd half Chelsea played for the 1-0 till they got the free kick 2nd goal -

City haven’t changed their style much to accommodate Haaland , most of their goals still come from inside the box moves, like Foden’s disallowed goal . Their problem today was when they had the space in front of them instead of a full on attack they played it back with intricate passes , Pep went berserk on one occasion
