Everton are pursuing a £10m deal for West Ham United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to a report in The Telegraph today – and with the Hammers facing an urgent need to generate funds following their Premier League relegation, the Blues could be well placed to get their man.

Wan-Bissaka, 28, has been a regular fixture at West Ham since his £15m move from Manchester United two years ago, and will head to the World Cup next month with DR Congo. But with West Ham reportedly needing to raise around £150m in player sales – relegation alone costing the club an estimated £100m – the former Crystal Palace man is among those available.
David Moyes is looking for reinforcement at right-back after Seamus Coleman’s remarkable 17-year Everton career draws to a close this summer, with the club legend still weighing up his next move – a coaching role at the club reportedly among the options. While Jake O’Brien stepped in at right-back last season as the Toffees pushed hard for European qualification, the Republic of Ireland international is fundamentally a centre-back, and Moyes wants a specialist option in that position.
Wan-Bissaka fits the bill. Once a £50m signing for Manchester United, the Croydon-born defender reinvented himself during his five years at Old Trafford, adding an attacking dimension to his game to complement his renowned one-on-one defensive qualities. He won both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup under Erik ten Hag at Wembley, and made 190 appearances in a Red Devils shirt.
