‘I think’: Chris Sutton predicts who will win out of Sheffield United vs Everton

BBC pundit Chris Sutton has said who he thinks will win as Everton travel to Sheffield United tomorrow afternoon.

Neither side have picked up a Premier League point this season with tomorrow’s fixture at Bramall Lane having a ‘must not lose’ feel about it just four games into the campaign.

Sean Dyche’s side haven’t scored a Premier League goal yet, but £26m man Beto and on loan signing Arnaut Danjuma both got off the mark in Wednesday night’s League Cup win at Doncaster Rovers.

Indeed, the victory over Doncaster was far from comfortable and the overall performance was worrisome, though Chris Sutton believes it will give Everton the confidence to pick up their first three points of the season.

Speaking on BBC Sport, Sutton predicts a 1-0 win for the Blues, stating: “Everton have got better. They got off the mark against Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup.

They need a striker to start scoring as they haven’t scored yet in the Premier League. They’ve created plenty of chances in their home fixtures and I think the 4-0 loss against Aston Villa was a game to forget.

Sean Dyche needs to get off the mark and I think he will get off the mark with three points.”

Everton can turn season around with three points on the road at Sheffield United

Beto’s impact on Wednesday night was almost immediate and has to start against the Blades tomorrow, offering Sean Dyche’s side a focal point that has been lacking in the opening weeks of the season.

Everton’s start to the season has been catastrophic, but tomorrow is an opportunity to get points on the board ahead of the visit of Arsenal.

No doubt Sheffield United will be looking at this fixture through a similar lens, which will likely create a tense atmosphere in the Steel City.

If Beto scores on his Premier League debut for the Blues, the 6ft 4in striker will become the first player to do so since Richarlison back in 2018.
