Former Everton player Gerard Deulofeu has sent a four-word message to new signing Beto.
The pair played together at Serie A side Udinese where they formed a successful partnership in the Italian side’s attack.
Everton today confirmed the £26m signing of Beto on a four-year contract, making him the club’s fifth signing of the summer.
However, it seems the Toffees were handed an assist from Deulofeu in their pursuit of the Portuguese international, with the former Everton winger providing a glowing assessment of life at Goodison Park.
As reported via the official Everton website, Beto confirmed he had spoken to Deulofeu prior to agreeing terms with the Blues, stating: “I talked to him (Deulofeu) the day before I travelled.
He told me Everton is a big club, has crazy fans, they love you and it is a really good club to play for.”
Taking to his Twitter in response to the news that Beto had completed his move to Merseyside, Deulofeu tweeted: “ENJOY THE TOFFEES LAD.”

The 25-year-old joins the Blues at a time when the club desperately needs a finisher following three consecutive Premier League defeats.
The Portuguese forward netted 10 goals in 33 games in Serie A last season and confirmed his excitement to play in front of the fans at Goodison Park.
The striker said: “Words can’t express the feeling I have right now to play in Goodison Park because it was a stadium I admired when I was in high school.
“I always wanted to play there because of the city, the derby and everything. I think the fans at Everton are a little bit more of a step up than the other fans so I am excited to play in front of them.”
Everton’s next Premier League outing is away at Sheffield United so the forward will have to wait to make his Goodison Park debut, but a winner at Bramall Lane on Saturday would be a decent way to begin his career at the Blues.
