Remember seeing him being interviewed after a match saying how proud he was to Captain Everton, he was so genuine about it. Him & Scot Gemmill saved us that year. Miss him, he was great. Made me cry watching that video.

In fairness, everybody knows the benefits of signing players early, and the disadvantages (look at our horrific season starts in recent times) of shopping late and picking up panic buys. Hopefully the plan is on track and players will be rolling...
