Yes mate he's into his last year and 30 so should be cheap. We paid 4.5M for pienaar remember. Because moyes new he would be important as would Donovan.

Come on you believe this whole "I don't think I wanna play anymore" ??
Only a few months earlier he himself was talking about how he wanted to play for Everton again but it was impossible after his last loan as he had to go back and do the season with LA. but after that season he was into his last year and he will see what happens then!

He made it quite clear really...perhaps a little too clear he wanted to come back perminently after the season with LA. All of a sudden nothing mentioned and "Iv had enough of football" ect ect.... He's playing the game mate IMO to try and get a move here. He'll make a deal to do 2/3yrs here then go back.

Exactly right imo.

We gave Cahill to the MLS/Red Bulls for a relatively cheap £1m, put in a cheeky bid of £2m for Donovan on a three year deal and when he's finished he can go back to the MLS and play out his final years for them again.

Safest signing we could ever make.

Hasn't Moyes publically said. "not something we're looking at doing" in regards to both Donovan and Cahill?

If we wanted Donovan and he gave us the nod he'd be here by now. Agree with that

Moyes says we're not going to sign anybody pretty much every transfer window. It's all mind games.

Wouldn't half be fantastic if we could get Donovan. We're crying our for a player on the right when Mirallas is either playing through the middle or injured and Donovan is the answer

No. Not the case.

Last season he said this (on bringing Donovan in on loan):

“It’s something we will probably try,â€￾ the Mirror quoted Moyes as saying. “He was popular and we could do with some speed and width.â€￾

Totally the opposite this season.

I'm not sure. If they were looking for up to £1.5m (ie. a no-brainer) I'd imagine that we could find it but beyond that I think Moyes will be thinking about the age and balance of his squad, resale value and priority positions. I'm sure that Davey would love to have him back and I imagine that we will be strong in Donovan's thought for a final challenge, but it could be difficult to get the timing and the economics right.

Get John Guidetti in on a loan, papers say Mancini want him to get used to the Premiership and he's back from the weird stomach illness. Had a boss time at Feyenoord last season; quick, pacy and trickery. Cover for wings and can play up front.

Any of the players not seeing much time at Utd's midfield as I'd feel they understand the mentality involved. Either of Fletcher and Anderson could do as a loan for the rest of the season. Gibbo stealing the win against the Sheiks last year must whet Fergie's appetites.

Donovan would do well if he was allowed back, one can hope. But I think Guidetti brings in some cover both up front and on the wings and some steel is badly needed in our center. I think Hitzl sitting leaves much to be desired, but he's the best available at the moment which is poor.
