2025/26 Youssef Chermiti

Because he wasn’t given the chance to develop here , which is the salient point .
He is a very good striker and the naysayers have been proven very wrong .
Keane was very bad here and probably would have continued to be bad here. I don't believe for a second that he is a premier league striker. I think he found his place in Italy and I am happy for him. As for Chermo, it looks like Moyes has basically told him work hard and earn minutes wherever you can get them because you are not getting the striker nod. If Chermo can provide energy/defensive minutes off the bench for the time being, I guess you take that for the moment.

Chermo at least looks pacy enough to hang on the wings which is good. Let him niche a role out.

Ah , the perpetual addiction to ‘pace ‘ along with homoerotic adulation of players who are ‘units’ . It’s almost like the English having invented the game have never been sure which game they wanted to play Rugby or Association, round or oval . Undecided we have habitually played a hybrid of both.
Honestly if you think he looked ‘ very bad ‘ here I despair . He didn’t convince entirely , but he was at a train wreck of a club , and his chances came few and far between for anyone to assess fairly .
What qualifies as a PL striker that a striker from Serie A cannot do , I wonder .
Whatever it is , it didn’t bother an average Italian team outclassing an England team with home advantage a few years ago .
But hey ho , you judged Kean to be poor and there he is scoring goals for fun and an international star.
I think your opinion was wrong in this case .
But we all call some wrong and some right we aren’t professionals so we can afford to be mistaken.

Have we got a striking coach yet
Here it is , same as last season I believe, a Neoplan Starliner .
I think it’s quite striking?

It is an opinion dude. And you have an opinion. No need to bring out your pseudointellectual spiel and write a blog about how oh so wrong I am dude. Keane was very bad here because he always wanted the ball to feet. I do not think we could afford to spend time on a player that was not inclined to make runs. His playstyle did not fit the league (IMO). Grab a tissue. We disagree. Fair enough.
