This could be fun maybe

From Italia 90, USA 94 and France 98, pick five players that you felt excelled the most at the World Cup during the decade

My picks would be;

Roberto Baggio: Played in all 3 tournaments. Scored a wonder goal at Italia 90 and then was integral to Italy reaching the Final in 1994, despite the fact he was a physical wreck due to injury

Georghe Hagi: Also played in all 3, being a core reason for Romania to reach the Quarter Finals in 1994

Andy Brehme: Integral to Germany's victorious run in 1990, scoring the winning goal in the Final. One of the decades best full backs

Romario: Brazil's shining light in 1994, playing exceedingly well and being the difference maker for them on numerous occasions. I doubt they would have won the Cup without him

Roger Milla: Shocked the World by being a big part of Cameroon's march to the Quarter Finals in 1990, before becoming the oldest player to ever score a World Cup goal in 1994 at the ripe old age of 42 (Though his age has sometimes been disputed)

Schillachi
Baggio
Romario
Zidane (Despite missing games with suspension)
Ronaldo (Despite the final)

Baggio - brilliant in 90 and 94 and made a good comeback in 98 too
Dunga - played in all 3 and captained them to 2 finals, winning 1
Maldini - simply world class from start to finish through all 3 tournaments
Zidane - obvious reasons
Maradona - playing through injuries and pop corning 50 million italians in 90, getting nicely off his tits in 94

Romario- one of my favourite forwards growing up he was lethal in '94.
Matthäus- solid midfielder that was influential in the German's march to victory in '90.
Thuram- pace power and ability on the ball. One of the young stars of France 98.
Lineker-the ultimate poacher in the box loved him his whole career. What might've been if he never left the blues...
This is difficult, could be any one of Ronaldo, Stoichkov, Zidane, Bebeto, Dunga, Cafu. But I'm going with Bergkamp, masterful goal against Argentina.
