Can't see any thread on this,if so mods feel free to move!!just I thought as we run the clock down ever closer to our goodbye people might want to share, happy, sad, funny whatever types of memories from over the years!!!anyhow
what a place,so many, many, memories ingrained in the very fabric of our royal blue colosseum, great times, sad times, times you felt the world was falling apart but we always pull through don't we?,1994,1998 and more recently💙,times you thought might never happen, lifting league titles, shared together with Evertonians, the ghosts of all the fans, family and players from the past,Dixie,TG Jones,Hickson,The Golden Vision,Labby,Bally,Howie and the rest,my own biggest memories are as a little five year old boy who couldn't believe his eyes at how majestic the old girl was back in 1971,less than five years after being selected as the only domestic ground to host a world cup semi final along with Wembley it was that good,THE best in the land,oh and everyone lucky enough to be there like myself that night would say Bayern but for me it was 28/10/1978,Kingy derby,Goodison literally shook to its foundations that day,it's a wonderful place, our home and we will miss her so much, the new place will have to be something special and it will be,but there will only ever be one Goodison Park💙💙💙

Had some great days and many depressing days at Goodison. One that stands out was the cup game where Gosling scored late on. I was sitting in the top balcony and when the celebrations calmed down it was amazing to see two thirds of the Bullens road stand completely empty, as their lot did a disappearing act.

My ever lasting memory of Goodison is my first one. March 26th 1987 v Charlton. I was 4 sitting in the Upper Bullens, I didn’t watch much of the game because I was fixated by the swaying bodies in the lower Gwladys. By the time I got in there the terracing had gone and it was all seating. I’ve sat everywhere in that stadium, but the lower G will always be my first footballing love and my preferred destination for a match.

Another sentimental thought I have is regarding my cousin. Me and him where the only blues in our family so we spent our entire youth together at Goodison, grew up there, and became fathers and took our kids there.

He died last January, and the place where all my Everton memories are of him won’t be around for much longer neither.

Back in the 1960s - the refreshments sayer pies [I think} & a bottle of beer cheap as chips - no making a killing like now ....

It was that crowded on the terraces - the urine running down the steps on the terraces & The Toffee lady - some games it was packed so tight if you put your hands in your pockets they had to stay there -

Getting in the ground at least 1 hour before kick off to get your spec ....

Both sets of supporters chanting at each other for at least 1/2 an hour before kick off -

Plus, it was a case of how many were going to win by 99 % of the time .....
