This could be a long thread....

What is your lowest moment as an Evertonian?

Mine;

Everton 1-3 Sheff Wed 1997/98.

After this match, we had Arsenal away, followed by Coventry at home in our fight to stay up.

Mark Pembridge scored twice for Sheff Wed to bring on a massive sulk for me at half time. Losing 2-0. At half time. At home. To Sheffield Wednesday. Absolutely no passion, no fight - I don't think even to this day I've been as disappointed, Big Dunc pulled one back late on, only for Di Canio to put a final nail in the coffin.

I think we got beat on boxing day to Sheff Wed or around that date before that, that was low.

Probably going three down to Portsmouth in the League Cup, that was bad as they were very dump then and I was massively depressed because of it.

The 3-0 loss to boro, smiths last game. We must remember that if he'd stayed we seriously could be in a lower league now!

The night before that game against Coventry in 97/98, where we needed a result to have any chance of staying up.

I was 9 at the time, spent the entire night before in bed crying  To me it seemed like the end of the world!

Strange thing is, I remember that night vividly, but have no recollection of the match itself

that sheff wed game was a shocker. remember walking away from it thinking we were seriously done for.

remember losing it with short for missing a sitter in the second half.

The 2nd Everton match I ever went to in England. Lost 3-0 at Elland Road, meaning we had to win against Wimbledon on the final day of the season to stay up.

This.

Missed the Sheff Wed and Blackburn debacles as I was away so then went to West Ham where we won to keep some hope alive (Tony Cottee on Grand National Day); went to QPR - lost! Home to Coventry - drew. Next, Leeds away on the 'The last day of the Kop' and as we set off to Leeds we sang 'Oh Sit Down' (James) to the RS as we went up Low Hill. :D

We battered Leeds for 60 minutes; lost thanks to the efforts of the ex-Man City no-mark White. :@ Got reprimanded by a plod for 'nearly' vandalising a seat; 'sensibly' offered to write him a cheque to pay for the (non) damage! :dodgy: Set fire to the commemorative Kop Pink Echo in the bogs of 'The Old Fire Station' on School Lane (n)rcard - pissed on it to extinguish the flames - forgive me, I don't normally behave like this but I was absolutely steaming thanks to too many pints of Pendle Witches Brew (6.5% abv.) Bawled me eyes out drunk on the streets of Prenton; wife found me having set off driving round to look for me (I was such a loose cannon my mates had cast me adrift lest I implicate them in any misdemeanour!) Collapsed in an hysterical heap on the floor of my kitchen and woke up at 5 am freezing cold, hung-over and miserable 'cos we were going down. It was like a bereavement.

Fast forward one week; bawling my eyes out again in the Upper Bullens but with joy unconfined. :yahoo:

Strangely was quietly confident 4 years later. b)

Mine was the day we sold Keown.....

I nearly gave up on footy that day.

I was so devestated, i just diddnt understand..!!!

Now-a-day i fuking hate players..!!!

2-0 down against the dons!

but turned out to be a great day in the end!

was in the upper glydes that day and at 2-0 it was the worse ive ever felt!

Losing 1-4 to Wimbledon

Losing 1-4 to Wimbledon. Had my feet up across 3 seats in the Park End as no ****er was left in the ground.

But I was still there, sucking it up.

It was also the game where Big Nev decided to take a goal kick right out of his hands instead of kicking it from the floor. Nobody noticed, but I did.

I would love to of been at Goodison when the final whistle went that day.

But hated to of been there when their second went in, can't imagine anything worse other than actually being relegated itself.
