Marcus bent cost £250k and hit double figures in the season we finished 4th . We sold him for £2.5m And we kept James Beattie . How can you hate bent more than Beattie ?

He didn't hit double figures, he scored about 6 for us

Jeffers always seemed far too full of himself for my liking. For somebody who put in about as many transfer requests as he scored goals I could never quite get why he thought he was the dog's wotsits.

Stephen Hughes because he looked like an Elf.

And Mark Pembridge. Mainly because I was watching the derby on the old jumbotron at Goodison (sans commentary) and was utterly convinced he'd scored and put us 1-0 up, only to find out about half an hour later that he'd hit the side netting and we were not actually 2 minutes away from victory. Never quite forgave him for that.
