Your football dream

I’m sure everyone here has done this - lay there imagining your career as a brilliant footballer, what goals you score, what audacious passes you play etc.

So why not share your dream here?

Me?

I started playing for Everton at 16, as a teen sensation, banging in 40 goals over my first two seasons as an attacking midfielder. Spent shed loads on strippers and also banged loads of fit birds.

Then I got a big money to Real Madrid and end up warming their bench for 3 years. Moved up in the world and start hanging around with underwear models, shagging plenty of them.

On a holiday to Italy, I notice all the fit Italian women, so lobby for a move to Inter. Spend the next couple of years shagging Italian stunners.
you leave everton in your dream... not a proper fan you.

..I never particularly wanted to be a footballer even though a professional football club pushed the boat and signed me. I realised later that it was because I had my future mapped and wanted something much more secure. Things have worked out fantastic for me, I had an opportunity but football wasn’t for me and I wasn’t for football. No footy dreams for me.

Saying that, playing football has been an integral part of my life and helped me become who I am today.

I genuinely had a dream recently about playing for Everton. I was at the tail end of my career and in fact had never really made it with any big clubs. But I guess I had been picked up as an emergency free agent and was suddenly drafted into a matchday squad at the last minute.

I remember it was under lights at Goodison. I never expected any game time but with about 20 mins to go I was told to warm up. As I was being introduced I could hear lots of murmurings in the crowd to the gist of "who is this aul lad?"

Anyway I came on and played right wing. It was actually quite vivid and the pace of the game was frantic. In my brief cameo I never misplaced a pass and put in some decent crosses. No goals, assists or heroics. But I remember coming off the pitch at full time and getting some congratulatory words from fans.

How very ordinary. How very uneventful. How very Everton!

In a derby match at Goodison. Last minute of the game and its 0:0. We are piling the pressure on Liverpool's goal. The ball falls nicely for me and I catch it sweetly on the volley with some force. Steven Gerrards head is in the way. The force of the ball takes his head clean off. The ball goes wide but his head hits the top corner of the net.

Result!
