YOUR FAVOURITE BOB LATCHFORD GOAL

Latchford scored some crucial goals during the cup runs of the 1976-77 season. Bolton away in the second leg of the League Cup semi final still makes me tingle. Massive following as well. Derby at home in the Cup quarter final when he swept in a Mike Lyons knock down.

I went to that Bolton semi final, I was only 6. Dad used to take me to loads of aways in those days. I don't remember the game but I remember the atmosphere was amazing.

Bolton away in the League Cup semi-final second leg in 1977. A great header. Brilliant atmosphere, but nervous towards the end particularly after Duncan McKenzie missed a penalty.
Stood on the paddock when Ronnie Goodlass broke down the left and pinged in a beautiful cross for Big Bob to rise majestically and guide it into the net. Went ballistic but fair play to the Bolton fans around me and my mates no one troubled us. Always had a soft spot for Bolton people having worked there for a couple of years. Sound down to earth people who dislike the Mancs as much as we do.
