Inspired by the wonderful @marnie story, any Ex or current, but if they are dodgy or implicate them errr, probably keep them to yourself.

I’ll start, not so great tbh.

Mark Hughes (the centre back, not the Welsh feller) tried to pull my at the time missus in a boozer.

James Wallace tried to run me off the road on Everton valley to get into the lane that goes to the dark side. He pulled over and gave me the eyes and I recognised him and he went quiet.

Stuart Barlow singing on the soccer bus after a derby match, was very funny.

Not my story but saw a clip of Tony Cottee on some podcast / vlog thing talking about preseason and the story ends up with the team walking into a brothel only to see HK with a brass in each arm grinning from ear to ear and welcoming them in.
While amusing, I really found it distasteful he would tell a story like that while HK’s wife is still around.
Of all the stories he must have, surely keep that one to those present.

Used to work in the odeon years ago. During the weekday working hours the place was dead, you’d be lucky to get 10 customers so you’d bring a book in to pass the time. I was sat on the box office one day reading Colin Harvey’s autobiography, I had my head buried in it so much that I hadn’t noticed a customer waiting for me to serve them, none other than the man himself with two of his grandkids. He gave me a little grin when he seen the book, I served him and off he went. I bottled out of asking him to sign it but when I told my boss what had happened she took the book off me and cought him on the way out and got it signed for me.

Waiting for the 19 bus outside The Living Rooms, Friday night around October 2003. Minding my own business when suddenly I had to jump back away from the bus stop before I was ran over by a black Mercedes full on mounting the curb. He wasn’t in the driver’s seat but out stepped Dunc. He was absolutely smashed, only about half 9 as well. Another fella gets out the other side, it was Joey Yobo, sober as a priest on Sunday wearing a cream coloured suit with pinstripes. Shook Yobo’s hand, Dunc was too busy struggling with the steps at the entrance of the bar.

Sister went out with Graham Allen when she went Uni. Kicked around with Jon Hills and a certain Michael Ball and their lasses. Ended up at Everton Xmas party circa 1997/8. Met all my heroes. Not jealous of her one bit. Definitely no animosity to this day. The bitch. 🤣

….reading @alan ball 3rd edition of Boys in Royal Blue Jersey and Graham Allen is the first interview. I remember him and John O’Connor playing CB, I think we got Jon Hills from Blackpool.

Got very pissed at a corporate golf day with Graeme Sharp . The next week we played Sheffield Wednesday away and I was invited into their hospitality. After the meal we made our way to.yhe seats just under the press box and Sharpy was doing commentary and let on to me , every one in the group was impressed and I was in 7th heaven.

On another occasion Alan Ball was the guest speaker at my firms do and I had to get him back to the Atlantic suffice to say like the QC on the Fast show he was ..." very , very drunk."

Similarly , notice a theme developing here ?, my firm sponsored the old Merseyside Sports Personality of the Year " and Howard Kendall was presenting. He was , of course, ten sheets to the wind and very entertaining.
