Absolutely fuming here lads, need advice.

Went to betfred before the game. Never used them before to make a bet but the shop was there in front of me, so I went in.

I placed £5 on a a double/anytime scorecast, lukaku anytime everton 3-1. My bet was taken and off I went on my way.

I come to collect the winnings and upon scanning my slip I'm told my bet has lost. The bookie put it through as first goalscorer, not any time. I dispute via customer services, and they refer to my betting slip in writing against their books - making the amendment.

However, instead of honouring my 8/11, 12/1 double on an anytime scorecast which would've left me with £112 returns... They are offering me about £30.... having changed my bet to a £2.50 each way - claiming they do not do anytime scorecast. Ummm... you just let me put that bet on, I am entitled to my winnings surely? I mean if a bookie puts the odds down wrong and somebody gets on to them, they would honour it - how is this any different?

Are you kidding me? They took my bet, gave me the odds and I won. Then I'm told human error put the bet through wrong, so they amend it - to a completely different bet saying they never should have done the bet I put on?!??!

Literally just a fiver on everton 3-1 would've given me larger returns.

This is a joke.

What do I do?

I bet I will save a lot of money by not gambling on Everton results. The matches are stressful enough ffs!

to be honest mate I think u just have to suck it up, I took Coral to an independent ombudsman a few years ago as they quoted me 40/1 on a player to score and would only pay out at 5/1 cos they realised they way over priced him. I was sure I would win as there were recorded telephone conversations etc but it seems that the T&C's u agree to as part of placing a bet with them means they can wriggle out of pretty much anything they want. Their possible damaged reputation stops them most of the time but if they are saying they will only give u £30 then I doubt youll get more by asking someone to step in

The Betfred on County Road?

They did the exact same thing to me last season in a cup game. I literally asked at the till "can i do an anytime scorecast?" they said yes and quoted me a price. Go in to collect and it's "sorry mate we don't pay out on anytime scorecasts".

Nothing you can do though. If I have a bet now, I just do it online.

That one mate yeah!

@Whistlin' Dixie & @BlueIsTheColour

Thanks for the replies lads, ended up ringing customer services and argued my case - they agreed to pay my Everton 3-1 as a £5 bet. Therefore winning at 12-1. So I got £65 back, better than 30 odd I guess.... But I knew they would never pay me the £112 I was owed.

Nevertheless I will never use betfred again. I always bet online but felt like I'd pop in as I was sat the game and it adds to the whole thing. Bastards really, but it's done with now!!

Still not the full whack, but I'm pleased that you (sort of) got a result.

Valuable lesson for all that've read this thread. Steer clear of Betfred on County (And in general). Rats.
