What are your greatest memories from merseyside derbies, past and present?

As a red, my greatest of all time was the cup final in '86, to be so out of the match in the first half but to go on and win the way we did, it will always be a special memory for me.

I'm assuming the older blues here will jump at the chance to rub in some famous blue victories to me (y), whilst the young 'uns will no doubt hold the 3-0 win from 2006 in high esteem.

Your greatest memories?

one of the worst was having to stand up to let a bloke sit down about 15 seconds into a derby( about 1980ish) and by the time I'd let him past Dalglish had scored Liverpool's 1st.

I hate derbys

The Kanchelskis one was great mate, mostly because it was at your gaff.

The Carsley one because we were on a roll at the time and we hadn't beaten you for a while.

The Gosling one for just pure sex feelings.

I really do hope you have a miserable week ahead of you mate!

Mine has to be the only one I attended with that Carsely goal...

Sunday 29 November 2009, Everton 3 Liverpool 0, Yakubu, Pienaar, Saha.

My best memories are Graeme Sharp's half volley over Grobbelaar, and Kevin Ratcliffe's long range pea roller.

bad copy cat you chopper.

Did'nt even see your above post mate until i posted mine. They have always been my favourite moments. I loved seeing that fella with an old holborn tin sticking out of his coat pocket, when there was a pitch invasion after Sharp's stunner. Although i was in the Anfield Road end that game, that vision will remain with me forever. (y)

Kenvin Campbell at the cock-end........

Then holding on for 80mins.

Westevelt, Gerrard & Jeffers getting sent off......

Cottee scoring 2 and winning 2-0 Grob and Mcman having a little scrap..

Kanchelskis derby!!!!

Oh an Cadamatri scoring late on. An me finding £80

Andy King's half volley, October 1978. First time we'd beaten them in 7 years. Kanchelskis, Ferguson, Cadamarteri, Sharp, Carsley, AJ and Gosling are all part of Derby folklore now

Carsley derby was standing directly behind the goal when it went in. Had my nephew with me but still havent converted him fully.

First derby i was at i travelled with about 12 reds we scored first and when i was still laughing at them poxy fowler equalised. Trip home was a long one they won 1-2.
