It's a big step up. I remember the young centre back Hughes who captained the reserves for a long period and didn't break through. Peter Clarke too.

But seriously, those are the ones who probably shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad cause they probably are gash if they're being released at this stage, no problem with that.

They've never been the issue but good luck to those guys wherever they end up.

Good mate of mine captained England U15 schoolboys. Was on everyones radar. Never made it past Bristol Rovers reserves, ended up at Taunton Town. Cruel game footie.

George waring is a shame, I thought he had the ability if not the little bit extra needed, I think hammer has gone because he seems to have turned into a bit of raheem sterling.. Tweeting pics of his girlfriend in the sauna.. Shame, good footballers, but it's more than that now.

Theres a few over the Years that have been let go at this stage and come back to haunt us tho, Jags, Baines and Barton I think?
