Player Valuation: £40m
This weekend the following palyer played in the premier league who are eligible to play for England at the next Under 21 tournament

Rossiter (Liverpool)
Ibe (Liverpool)
Gomez (Liverpool)
Chambers (Arsenal)
Galloway (Everton)
Browning (Everton)
Stones (Everton)
Sterling (Man City)
Targett (Southampton)
Dier (Spurs)
Alli (Spurs)
Shaw (Man Utd)
Watmore (Sunderland)

Out of these players only 8 of them started games so 220 players starting premier league games only 8 of them are eligible for England under 21s

It seems teams that pundits would say are likely to finish between the 4th-8th positions (Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton) are most likely to give younger players a chance, is this because teams battling around the bottom don't like to risk young players and teams fighting for the championship also don't want to risk them? Do the 4 teams mentioned have the security to be able to blood them here and there or is it just a case of managers preference?

No wonder the national team is in such a state

Don't think so. Didn't United have Beckham, Butt,Scholes,The two Nevilles, etc in their first team when contesting championships years ago. The likes of Chelsea and Man City these days recruit youngsters from Africa and Eastern Europe to the determent of home grown players and also to Irish players coming over for trials. United won't have many home grown players coming through like before unless they buy them for ridiculous money. Sterling will probably be the last home grown player to be a regular for city fir a decade sure. As for Chelski lol
