It was the hand gesture i did'nt get. What was that all about??

He was inviting the praise by showing that he was paying particular attention to what he was hearing at that particular point, which (implicitly) he expected to be praise.

i noticed the celebration too, pretty sure he was just inviting praise too, instead of saying "i can't hear you anymore" to away fans, he's kinda saying "i can't hear enough praise from you" to our fans

kinda weird but he scored a goal so i can't complain

I saw it but I dont think there was anything deeper in it. He's a centre back, I doubt he really thinks too much about what his celebration would be, its probably the first thing he thinks of in the heat of the moment, i doubt he was aiming anything at the fans.
