Surplus to requirements as is Senderos. We have back ups in Distin and Duffy.

Duffy is going to struggle getting opportunities under Moyes, and would be better sent out on loan. Moyes isn't the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to giving youngsters opportunities despite being labelled as the complete opposite.
If Yobo stays, I fear for Duffy's chances of first team football. I like the lad.

Duffy isn't anywhere close to the first team and Senderos will be on the first plane back to Switzerland when the season's over.

If we can get Senderos on a free, then why send him back?
We can't judge him on one performance. We can't have too many stars for one position, as they just wouldn't be happy sat on the bench, and the defence is a dangerous position to rotate. We need quality back up, who don't expect to be playing every week, and Senderos might fit that bill.

Hmm im not sure Joey has been as bad as people are making out this season, im not slating any of our defenders this season, despite a massive decline in performence as i think their have circumstances in mitigation, namely adjustment, injurey and an innability to field a consistent partnership.

We sign a back up CB(Senderos) for free, and we sell a backup CB(yobo) for 5 to 8m to fund other signings. We are also replacing an older backup with a younger one. Not much to complain about really.

I'm not necessarily for or against Yobo going. How much would he be worth in terms of a transfer fee? I'd be willing to sell him if the price was right.

Sell him off 1 year/6mths after signing him for free. We'll probably make 7 to 10m off these 2 backup. By that time, I reckon Duffy to be ready to step into 1st team.

He's the player most likely to raise us some money and we do need to find a way to strengthen in other areas.

As for Duffy, he's a 17-18 year old centre back, he won't be anywhere near the first team next season, not a chance. He isn't a realistic option unless we have a major injury crisis.

Yet again you show a distant LACK of awareness.

Rodwell, Gosling, Vaughan, Anchiebe, Duffy, Coleman, Fellaini, Agard, Baxter. These are just some of the players under the age of 23 that Moyes has used this season alone and these are just the 1s I can recall.

Just because Moyes doesnt feel that the 18 year old Duffy is ready, doesnt mean he doesnt give Youth a chance, if they are good enough, they are old enough.

I don't look at many in that list as youngsters anymore. 1 or 2 matches is hardly an opportunity. We should get them on as much as possible between now and the end of the season.
