ON YOBO

I rate Yobo highly.

May have gone off form, as he's having less matches. He started out as a right-back, and showed he can run with the ball and pass out of trouble well. No idea why he's hoofing more now.

Watching him on TV, he seems a laid back character. If he can handle being a squad player, we're better off having him on the bench.

ON FOOTBALLING DEFENDERS

The defenders we have now don't pass it on the floor a lot. Lescott, when on form, shows his footballing side more, but too often our defenders will choose a long ball when short options are closed down.

I think this has to do with Moyes' game plans, 'caution is paramount' it seems. I'm just saying, it could be the manager's directions resulting in defenders not passing short so much, rather than the defenders not having the skills to do so.

When exactly has he done that then???

He's not quite 30, according to Wikipedia he's 29 in September.

His Wiki-photo is boss by the way:

'Alright mate, you wouldn't know how to get to Kirkby from here would yer?'

A Nigerian 29 though!

Not up for debate, hes ace.

Many of the mistakes at the back are because yobo hoofs it, it comes back we are under pressure. It doesn't matter if the midfield come for it, Yobocop panics and then skies it. He imo is the weak link in our defense.
He puts us under pressure when there is simply no need to. A simple pass for the yobonator is to see how far down the pitch he can get it..surely we have moved on from those days. And the worst part of it, is it encourages other defenders around him to hoof it too.

Looked really shaky today, hopefully with Jagielka injured he can get a run of games under his belt and get his sharpness back.

Come on Yobo, lad!

aye it is back with a vengeance with the yobonator. When he hasnt been playing we have been playing some great stuff on the deck. I prefer lescott instead of the hoofmeister

The proof is in the pudding he has always hoofed it..which bypasses the midfield and before you know it we are back under uneeded pressure. I guess some people like him and some dont. I am in neither camp I think he would do well with the likes of stoke or such. I just think we are far more solid at the back without him than with him.
