Means nothing mate, we don't have any where near too full squad so may as well name him, he could still be off to turkey as their window doesnt close till 5th sept, personally i'd keep him, gives us 4 strong centre backs, so one area where we have some depth and means we don't have to see Neville in central defence, prob is he says he doesn't want to play for us again..

That's where i'm coming from.He said he wont play for us again so why would moyes name him in the squad?
Just seems a strange decision looking in from the outside

If he stays, it enables us to play him if we wish so. We have empty slots we can put him in, it's not like he's replacing another name so can't really make any conclusions from that.

If we'd leave him out of it, it'd weaken our negotiation stance by saying that he's useless for us, we should only do that in case a deal is already in place

Obviously it's up in the air. It's a case of putting him on there as we may as well. He can still be transferred even if put on our list, and if he does stay and doesn't manage to orchestrate the move, then he's on our list and can actually earn his paycheck.

There's no conspiracy.

Not insinuating a conspiracy here.
My feelings are if you fall out with Moyes then you are out end of.
Just wondering if people think moyes has softened his usual stance of i'm the boss and it's my way or no way

I don't think Yobo and him fell out, did they? Yobo wasn't getting games so went out on loan. He loved it there and wanted to stay. Moyes isn't trying to stop the move, it's just a bit of bad luck with the match-fixing scandal.

Maybe wrong but i thought they fell out over yobo being unfit to play for everton but turning out for nigeria a few days later

I forgot about that. I don't know if they actually fell out over it though.

We'll see anyway. Yobo wants to move and we could do with not having to pay his wages so hopefully he can get his move.

Some sort of deal will be done on Monday with Fenerbache, either loan or transfer.

Either way, he won't be on the wage bill. Ideally we get 3m+ in cash as well. Yobo believed to be on 45-50k, so that's £2.5m more saved.

Basically, players aged 21 or under on the 31st January 2011 do not need to be named in the squad as they can play anyway.

So Everton can name a squad of 25 players outside of the youngsters.

Needless to say, we could name Moyes, Round and Stubbs in the squad and still fit everyone else in.

Yobo's inclusion means nothing. He'll be gone shortly, with the £2m or whatever plus the money saved from his £40k a week wages going straight to the bank, never to be seen again.

Turkish side Fenerbahce are in talks to sign Everton’s Joseph Yobo and Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan (right) in the next 48 hours.

The Turks, under threat of relegation over match-fixing allegations, are trying to land the pair before their deadline ends tomorrow.

They hope to sign Everton’s out-of-favour Yobo on a season-long loan deal. Cash-strapped Everton want a fee and the clubs are deep in negotiations.

Sunderland have also received an approach for Gyan. They would be willing to sell the striker but have also only been offered a loan move. Fenerbahce cannot commit to buys as they may be relegated.
